ALLAHABAD: On Monday a delegation of Fulbright Scholarship that looks after scholarship affairs of the organisation would be visiting the Allahabad University in Uttar Pradesh. Members of the delegation team would be interacting with students and faculty members regarding various aspects of coveted scholarship and how they can make the most of it for their education.
Mr. RK Singh who is the scholar from AU’s chemistry department of the Fulbright said that United States and India’s educational foundation USIEF would be organising a scholarship outreach programme in Allahabad University campus to educate students and faculty members about the scholarship programme of Fulbright Commission in India.
Members of the delegation would be interacting with students to enlighten them about the opportunities for aspiring beneficiaries under this programme in Arts section of the campus at 1pm.
Mr. Singh further said, “The USIEF is also organising an annual competition for Fulbright-Nehru for 2016-17 on March 5th. The competition is for other Fulbright Fellowships such as PhD scholars, Teachers, Professors, Academicians and Professionals from education field. These fellowships are offered in different sectors of science and humanities.”
There would be a presentation for students by the team of USIEF in Allahabad University which emphasise on different Fulbright programmes, application procedure, eligibility criteria for applicants, review process of applications, selection criteria and also about how the applicants can write a strong and convincing application.
This event could a great opportunity to achieve academic excellence and to learn about the US culture and traditions. During the outreach programme summit, all faculty members, PG students, and post-doc scholars are invited for interaction on various subjects as aforementioned.
Although aspiring students and faculty members of the Allahabad University are well aware of coveted scholarship offered by the Fulbright, but these outreach programmes are excellent way to eliminating ambiguity and uncertainty in the minds of aspiring beneficiaries, so that more people could benefit from this wonderful opportunity.
